UK Out of Home Industry Profits Hit £1bn Thanks to Digital

Digital OOH campaigns such as this one from Media Agency Group, OOH International's parent company, have had a great impact on the outdoor advertising industry, with increased profits for 2014The Outdoor Media Centre (OMC), the trade association for outdoor media owners, has reported that a strong fourth quarter saw profits for the UK's out of home advertising sector hit the £1 billion mark during 2014. The latest figures from OMC reported that revenues were up 6.1% in the last quarter of the year, with the increasing number of digital out of home advertising sites available a major contributing factor to the industry's improved success.The association listed the top ten advertisers in the last quarter as:- Asda Stores- BSkyB- KFC- 02 UK- Sony Mobile- TalkTalk- TSB Bank- 20th Century Fox- Vodafone- Warner BrosGoogle also invested heavily in outdoor advertisements as it ran campaigns to promote YouTube, Android and Google Outside. […]
